Family services program

At il nido, we have a Family Services Coordinator who is available to connect families with services and support families to learn more about parenting and child development.

Our Family Services Coordinator does this by providing:

  • Individual and family counseling to help with personal issues, feelings and behaviours
  • Service Coordination – connecting families to the most appropriate services, provide follow up, advocacy and work in partnership with the family and other services
  • Therapeutic group programs with a focus on parenting, relationships, social and emotional wellbeing, trauma and other identified areas
  • Information about available services and supports
Parenting programs

As a parent you have the primary role of guiding and nurturing your child’s development and helping them grow and learn. Children’s Centres support you with this vital role by working with other organisations to offer a range of parenting programs.

These programs focus on parenting skills and child development and include early literacy, attachment, food, nutrition and exercise, and caring for children’s sensory, social and emotion, cognitive development as well as any learning and health needs.
